Our apps store the following data exclusively on your device, using your device's local storage (localStorage). None of it is ever transmitted off your device.

None of this data is ever transmitted to any server. Our apps have no backend, no database, and no cloud service. We have no technical ability to access your data because we never receive it.
Our apps do not require an internet connection to function. They work completely offline.
They make no network requests of any kind — no calls to external APIs, no analytics services, no advertising networks, no remote servers.
If a future version of any app adds an optional online feature (such as currency exchange rate lookup), this policy will be updated and you will be notified within the app before any network request is made.
Our apps contain zero third-party SDKs, libraries, or services that collect data. Specifically:
Neither Budget nor Shift requests any device permissions at version 1.0. They do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or any other system resource.
If future versions request permissions (for example, camera access for receipt photos in Budget), you will be asked explicitly and the purpose will be clearly stated in-app.
Our apps do not collect any personal data from any user, including children under the age of 13. The apps are suitable for all ages.
Because all data is stored on your device, you have complete control at all times:
We cannot access, recover, or delete your data on your behalf because we never have it. If you delete an app, your data is gone — so use the Export feature first if you want to keep a copy.
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security — the same protection that guards all other apps on your phone. Our apps do not implement additional encryption beyond what your device's operating system provides for app data storage.
Because there is no server, there is no server to breach. There is no database of user data that could be stolen, sold, or leaked.
Our apps are designed to comply with privacy regulations worldwide by design: because we collect no personal data, the requirements of GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), PDPA (Singapore), LGPD (Brazil), PDPB (India), and equivalent laws simply do not apply — there is nothing to govern.
We maintain this policy as a statement of transparency for all users regardless of region.
If we ever change this policy in a way that involves collecting or sharing any user data, we will:
Minor clarifications that do not affect data practices will be updated silently with a new effective date.
